This week I will show you a power station a 10 minutes walk from my house. The river is called Nidelven and the station is Nedre Leirfoss power station. The river is only 30 km long, running from the lake Bjørsjøen through the center of Trondhiem and into the Trondheimsfjorden.
Nedre Leirfoss power station started producing power back in 1910 and produces 65 GWh per year.

What an interesting structure. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteSome of our older power stations have a similar look but not so grand and castle like. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifu river valley with lovely reflections, a scenic, historical power station in full worning order and to top it all oss a great optical illusion in the first shot of perfectly placed fir trees in the corners of the power station roof!

That is some building and view, and only 10 minutes from your house. Imagine how long it took the beaver to chew that tree. It would have been neat to capture.

Litt av en bygning. Har du lagt merke til at kraftverk og industribygninger osv. ofte er sånne flotte byggverk som det her? I stein og glass. Tenk om de kunne vært brukt til kulturhus, konsertsaler ol. Det hadde vært noe
