Looking forward to winter

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Outside it is 7o Celsius and the rain is pouring down. The wind is tearing  leafs off the trees.

October and November are two long months with variable weather. Forecast for the next two weeks is miserable. I DON’T LIKE IT !

I want it like this picture. This frozen lake is called Leksdalsvatnet, just south of Steinkjer.

(I shot this with another camera 3 years ago)

  4. Kjempe fint vinterbilde!

  6. For those of us from nordic climes permanently banished to the antipodes that picture is balm to the soul.I love crisp winters with thick snow and ice flowers on the windows...delicious aromas issuing from the oven and crackling fires. These things for me are what dreams are made of.

No snow tires on the JEEP yet... LOL

That's a beautiful picture IVAR... I will think hard for snow your way!!

  22. Hello Ivar. I found your blog via Fugazi's blog. I have also seen your comments on Abe Lincoln's blog. I love this shot. I enjoy winter and snow, just hate driving on ice! LOL Our weather has been unseasonably warm for October. it is 11:30 at night and still 64 degrees F. It has been in the 80's for a couple of days. You have some very beautiful pictures here. I will be back to see more.

  23. Yes you are right, we should switch over to the wintertime right now.
... or I can just have a look to my old winter-slides.
    Have a nice week
