Smoke on the water

The cold winter is here with temperatures between -15 to -40 degrees celsius in my area. The frost mist is covering most of the fjord and that is a pretty sight actually.

There is no color editing in this picture. This is the color that my eyes captured as well.

Today I will show you the office building where my company and many others are located.

This is Pirsenteret. We are lucky to have some of the offices with a view to the fjord as in the last picture.

On Tuesday I got a glimps of the sun. For just 5 min she came through the clouds. More than enough for me to capture some shots. This pic is actually two pics merged together.

And I had to try to get a "close-up".

A picture from my first trip in a sailboat. This happend back in May 2005. It was a fun experience and I will do it again if I get a chance.

My World Tuesday

Munkholmen (Norwegian, meaning the monk's islet) is an islet north of Trondheim, Norway in the Trondheimsfjord. The islet has served as a place of execution, a monastery, a fortress, prison, and a World War II anti-aircraft gun station. Today, Munkholmen is a popular tourist attraction and recreation site. I captured this  from a helicopter back in May 2005.

Feeling alive

I shot this picture at the same place as my SWF post this week. A windy day. The temperature was below 10C/50F, but still a beautiful day. I enjoy being outside, it makes me feel alive.

L- for Left behind

In Norway we have a lot of ferries to transport people and vehicles across the fjords. Sometimes I have to drive a bit too fast to get to the ferry in time. Well, I have been left behind several times, but not last week when I had to cross the fjord Trondheimsfjorden. Lucky me :-)

In 2005 Class V1 World Championship boats visited Trondheim. These are some of my pics. Happy ABC Wednesday :-) The small island you see in the background is called  Munkholmen.
