Welcome to the opening night for My World Tuesday. A new meme hosted by Klaus and rest of the Sky Watch Team. For more posts and rules please visit My World Tuesday .
The choice for my first post is, not unexpected, a winter picture. I enjoy being out on days like this. This is shot back in March 2006.
The winter season is from October to April/May. We don't have full winter with snow and temperature below zero the whole time, but you can see how far north my country stretches in this google earth picture. That's why we have this winterly climate so long.
Flott bide, her har du fått dybde i bilde. Blikket mitt blir dratt mot hyttene pga ski sporet.
ReplyDeleteNår legges mr linky ut ?
A beautiful snow. I would love being out it in, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful landscape and a great photograph.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your part of the world.
Come visit,
Troy and Martha
Great Start Ivar... and a great map.:O)
ReplyDeleteCool idea! :)
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
En pangstart med et kjempevakker bilde, Ivar! Gratulerer! Siden jeg elsker vinteren så kunne ikke det ha blitt mer perfekt for meg. Tenk hva vi har i vente no;)
ReplyDeleteDette er Norgesreklame på sitt beste:))
You really are very far north but I guess the Gulf Stream keeps Norway a bit warmer than I might otherwise expect!
ReplyDeleteHave you had snow fall yet? I bet your
day length must be getting very short now.
wow Thank you for sharing that. I wonder if I could handle that much winter after 25 years of almost none-- we whoop and holler if we get a few flakes of snow I"m guessing that is not your main reaction:)
ReplyDeleteDu kan dette med vinterbilder - men jeg tror jeg foretrekker sjøen... ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Ivar for showing this beautiful photo of snowy Norway. I have never been here in winter. I was always in Norway in summer. It was always wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love snow and this image is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a place for a sleigh ride.

Beautiful winter scene from Norway! I love the sparkling pristine snow and track going through. The sky is that lovely winter blue. Absolutely gorgeous picture!
ReplyDeleteJust looks like Canada......although we don't usually get snow until November in Southern Ontario,
ReplyDeleteGill in Canada
Ivar: Neat view of your world concidring you are close to the Artic Circle. I love the photos of Norway and your posts.
ReplyDeleteGosh - snow is much easier to admire when it's in someone else's country.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, thanks for the introduction to your world.
Det sto 19 - 19 men nå får du 20 :)
ReplyDeleteJa de har rustet opp bye voldsomt de to siste årene. De måtte jo bli kvitt harry stempelet som Herodes Falsk lagde og har både er fra og bor i Drammen :)

ReplyDeleteIvar- A very nice wide angle image. This reminds me of what is to come. I'm hoping for many sunny winter days in Ohio- we're usually gray most of the winter.
ReplyDeleteTom

ReplyDeleteA fabulous shot and a mindblowing composition
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, I can see myself cross country skiing on that trail.
ReplyDeleteVery cool -- or should I say very cold -- or should I say freezingly cold -- or should I just say it would be crazy (for a wimp like me) to be out there in zero degree temperatures... Brrrrr...
ReplyDeleteIvar, it's so beautiful to look at, but I would freeze to death! I'll setttle for your wonderful photographs, and hope to visit Norway in the summer! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a marvellous way to start off the theme.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place. Love the snow but hate the cold!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow shot!
ReplyDeleteGleder meg til vinter`n :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. No wonder my grandparents left Norway, for Minnesota. Where I live, in Southern California, there's little snow.
ReplyDeleteLovely view.
ReplyDeleteJust drop another logo and you are covered
ReplyDelete:)
Fantastic photo Ivar, the snow looks beautiful, I can understand why you enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteUtrolig fint bilde. Skisporene gjør bildet mer levende.
ReplyDeleteJeg er ikke noe stor skigåer må jeg innrømme, men når man ser slike landskap... sukk ;)
It was really cold when you made this photo. The only time I see the snow crystals gleam like this is when the temps are extrememly low for our area.
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrr.....Wonderful photo! I'm glad you like the snow since I imagine you see a great deal of it.
ReplyDeletewow...is the ice still there? Reports say ice is melting everywhere.
