On Tuesday I got a glimps of the sun. For just 5 min she came through the clouds. More than enough for me to capture some shots. This pic is actually two pics merged together.
And I had to try to get a "close-up".
Please visit SkyWatch Friday for more skies around the world.
I wish you all a warm and pleasant weekend.
Very nicely done. I'm glad you had a bit of sun. And you should keep warm. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI should thank you Ivar. Visiting your blog to find a new and, as ever, amazing photo has become a fantastic refreshing for me when I feel tired. Wish you a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteDette var no bærre lækkert ja :) Nr to så nesten helt uvirkelig ut med solen så lavt. Flotte bilder Ivar!

unbelievable!
ReplyDeleteI'm nowhere near as far north as you, but I know that "glimpse of sun" feeling very well. I saw her for about 5 minutes yesterday, and I knew it wouldn't last: I stopped what I was doing until it was over. February is either not looking good... or looking great for clouds!
ReplyDeleteThe first, with such a sweeping view, is wonderful. But the close-up is breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteWow! Wonderful close up!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on merging the two photos, too.
ReplyDeleteYour second photo would make a wonderful backdrop.
ReplyDeleteNydelig vakkert Ivar.
ReplyDeleteGreat winter shots my favourite is the second shot like sunrise on an alien world.
ReplyDeleteBrethtaking pics!
ReplyDeleteSorry, sorry!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a wonderful 5 minutes it was!
ReplyDeleteFantastisk flott og nydelig stemning!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos! I wish I could see them in real!
ReplyDeleteFantastisk flott det siste bildet!
ReplyDeleteWell caught Ivar.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a beautiful glimpse!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful setting and great capture. It looks like a fantastic place to photograph during other times of the year also. Makes me cold just looking at it.
ReplyDeleteSkikkelig vinterstemning fra deg også i dag.
ReplyDeleteVeldig fine bilder, Ivar:)
Magnificent! The first makes it look like a twinkling diamond, a tiny glimmer (glimpse) of hope... the second, an absolute beacon of hope. Wonderful perspective!

ReplyDeleteIncredible, as always! Could pass for a painting and such lovely colors! Thanks, Ivar, for all the beauty. Have a great weekend!

Oh, wow - great photos. Sometime you'll have to show us the two originals and how you combined them.
ReplyDeleteThe pinks tinges really light up the images. Interesting way of doing this.
ReplyDeleteThese are two of my very favourites of all your photos, Ivar. Flott!

I think it takes someone w/ a heart as big as the sun to take photos this good, to be able to see well enough into a potential shot!!!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding. Close-ups are good!!
ReplyDeleteThe lighting in these shots is so beautiful. The pink from the sun and the blue on the snow. Beautiful.

ReplyDeleteThere aren't words good enough to express my admiration for you.

A Great capture and very, very impressive. The close-up is amazing
ReplyDeleteWaw.
ReplyDeleteBut you live in a beautiful place -
perfect for making wonderful pictures...

ReplyDeleteBoth shots are awesome, Ivar, but your close-up is my favorite. Thanks for all your SWF work!
ReplyDeleteYour images are wonderful. I love the curve in the ice in the first image, with that wee bit of colorful sun in the distance! The second one... the subtle soft
