The Great Cormorant

This is the Great Cormorant. You can often see this bird by the sea, freshwater lakes and rivers. It can dive really deep to find food, for the most a wide variety of fish. After a dive/swim they spread out their wings to let the wings/feathers dry.

  3. Så stilig det var når fugler og bildekk var ton i ton. Skulle tro de hadde satt seg der med vilje, slik at du kunne komme og ta et flott bilde. :-)

  5. We have cormorant in and around Tampa, Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico, and I have shot them a few times. They actually let me get pretty close. I love it when they stretch out their necks and then fly. Great shot. (Love your country. It is so beautiful.)- Frank
