Some shots from Madrid

After returning from Madrid, there has been very busy days at work. No time for blogging. So thank you all for still visiting me, thank you for all greetings and comments. I will try to catch up with your blogs soon ;-)

These two first pictures are from Real Jardin Botanico. A great botanic garden, a must-see when you are in Madrid.

I also tried to shot night shots, but without my tripod it is difficult to get clear pictures due to long exposure time. The first building is the Palacio de Communicaciones/City Hall. Build between 1905 and 1917 as the headquarters of the post office.

The second one is the Metropolis Building.

This is the Monumento Alfonso XII. You can find this monument in Parque de El Retiro/ The Retiro Park.

These birds are walking around in Jardines Del Campo Del Moro, or in the backyard of the Royal Palace. You should really visit this garden.

This last shot is the Puerta Del Alcala, Alcalas Gate. It is a monument in the Plaza de la Independencia/Independence Square.

  5. Ivar I think the night shots are all the more stunning for the movement in them. Maybe you should leave the tripod behind occasionally! A lovely tour thank you.

  6. The blue nightscene with cars zooming by attracted me the most, of course.

  8. I love to visit that garden of the Royal Palace, to see birds doing the patrol instead of being locked in cages. Such a lovely place and the metropolis one is great, too.

  9. Once again beautiful pictures. The Peacocks are such lovely birds. We used to eat at a restaurant that had peacocks all over the place. They were fun to watch. Keep up the great photography.

  10. Jeg synes nå nattbildene ble kjempebra tross manglende stativ. Også benkemennene er flotte motiv. Har sett det med de to på sammen benk før forresten.

  14. I really like the detail on the peacocks. The one where it is walking away reminds me of a brides dress as she walks down the aisle. Nice.

  15. Fantastic photos! Looks like a wonderful and beautiful place to visit. I really like the first shot of the two older gentleman looking like they are watching the birds. That's a "life" shot.
