The Royal Palace. I wonder what two old people do with this huge house? Our King Harald V and Queen Sonja are both 72 years old ;-)

ReplyDelete:)
Maybe they watch stupid things on television. Surely Norway has stupid television, too.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is just amazing. The sky, building and ground all have such different, but wonderful textures to make a fabulous capture.
I guess they just party !
ReplyDeletemaybe they play hide/seek or tag????
ReplyDeletelovely perspective of a grand palace.
Flotte bilder av slottet. Flott himmel og farger :)
ReplyDeleteSo that castle redefines every idea I ever had about personal space!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what they're doing, but I wish they'd let me come visit! It's a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your header by the way. Brilliant!
Utrolig stilig, Ivar!
Amazing Shots! That’s quite a building heh?
ReplyDeleteI wonder what do they do too? Maybe party time!!!It’s huge.
Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful week.
Mary Elizabeth Now and Then.
Beautiful sky. If the castle is like our White House, most of it is office space.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to imagine two people living in the castle. You photographed it so well and the sky in both shots was also fabulous.
ReplyDeleteCool HDR (or is it tonemapping?).
ReplyDeleteEither way - great captures!
Cheers, Klaus
Impressive building!!Do they use solaar panels?? It must once have been very useful for entertaining guests. It's a beautiful place. Great photos Ivar.
ReplyDeleteSer du har vært på tur ja :-)
ReplyDeleteSpennende..., men fikk du kaffe??
These really are very regal dramatic images.
Wow, that's an amazingly huge palace home. Two people? They must lose each other often in all that space!
ReplyDeleteThey play hide and seek for days?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots.
Ivar: What a beautiful castle, the King and Queen do have plenty of room.
ReplyDeleteThey could of course have a packedlunch and go hiking around the palace, or, for a holiday, live in a suite of rooms at the other end of the palace. To see how the other half lives, they could always spend a night in the servants' quarters! Maybe they grow their own vegetables in the wintergarden. Who knows, one thing is for sure, they may as well enjoy it since they can't take it with them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
Stunning architecture ... and how there are no trees in front of the building. Must be a very cold climate!
ReplyDeleteWow amazing castle. The King and Queen dont have to do anything, they have people do for them..lol. I guess they would just watch TV and lazed around. The ancient emperor in China dont even have to walk around his palace, he had his servants carried him in his royal sedan within the palace just to visit his concubines...lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing King Harald V and Queen Sonja are in the far left, top floor corner of the castle... in the room with the curtains drawn... they're making up imaginary lives and putting them up on their blogs. I can't be the only one.
ReplyDelete;-)
You are one fine photographer.
Beautifully photographed! And the sky is exceptional!
ReplyDeletespectacular!!!!
ReplyDeletethe first adjective came to my mind when I first saw this was: Grand
ReplyDeleteAnd so should it be, a palace after all!
wonder if they remember their way around in such a big palace ..loved the picture :)
ReplyDeleteStunning pictures Ivar, I also did a royal home this week, Windsor Castle!
ReplyDeleteNice punch with these images! Blue Skies.
ReplyDeleteAwesome building, same building with different sky, how nice..
ReplyDeleteWow. They look like painting Ivar. Great shot. I would love to have them in my living room either as a photo or a painting. Lovely.

amazing hdr. excellent work
Well done
Fantastiske bilder av slottet! :-)
