Oh Deer

  1. Hi Ivar! That's interesting! When I studied English, I learnt among other things that there are many old Viking words in the English language. Like "mail" which is derived from "mal"( I can't spell it properly on my computer). So from talking it became eventually writing.So dyr became deer! Thanks!

  5. Great winter photo today. Much different to the deer in our part of the world. Much bigger feet like snow shoes, and a big flatter head probably usefull for foraging under the snow.

  10. The animals you've been photographing lately are so exotic to see for us U.S. folks! That doesn't look like any deer I've seen here! :) Very nice shot.
