Swans




Yesterday morning I shot these photos. I have never seen so many swans together before. It was a cold and wonderful experience.

    Beautiful. I feel as though I can see the cold, in all the blue...

    They seem to have longer beaks than the swans we have here.

    I just discovered your blog Tuesday, thanks to my friend, Corvus. You've become my daily, must-have dose of eye candy.

    I can't offer photography help, but you've definitely got my sincere appreciation for the beauty I've seen. It's there even in the photos of office buildings. And the swans photos are so absolutely beautiful.

    För oss i Österbotten (västra Finland) är svanar ett riktigt vårtecken. Känns mycket avlägset nu just! Speciellt den undre bilden känns väldigt blå - fint!

    As beautiful as they are, they are mean evil creatures (kidding)
    I approached a nestfull of goose eggs as I was trimming the grass around a water hazard at a country club, I was lucky to escape unscathed, they are very protective of their eggs.

    I have always loved the swan as far back as I can remember. Your photos are stunning and yes they are very protective of their young - good little mothers :)

    De fleste bilder jeg har sett av svaner rundt på de forskjellige blogger (min innkludert) har bare vart av enslige fugler. Dette er jo praktfullt. Virkelig nydelige bilder. Og fuglene er i en klasse for seg de også.

    They must feel warmer if they are closer to each other. Maybe:-)These swans have a black beak that I´m not used to. Must be some other species in Norway.

    Hi, EB says, 'can see the cold' I agree, its the colours and the way the light is reflecting on the water. It seems the sun is quite low in the sky maybe?
