Fotosafari in Trondheim

We have had a cold and wonderful weekend here in Trondheim. Today I went down to the city center to enjoy the sun and shoot some photos.

This first picture is from the river Nidelven. You can see the Old Town Bridge. The Old Town, Bakklandet, is to the left.

If you come visit Norway and Trondheim I can recommend this wonderful hotel Britannia. A beautiful building and a great place to stay.

This is the statue of the viking Olav Tryggvason. He founded Trondheim in 997. He was King of Norway from 995 to 1000. For more interesting reading about the King please see HERE.
This statue is 18 meters tall, but I have cut away some ugly rooftops and a crane. I wanted to focus on King Olav and the moon.

  1. Very nice, so crisp. I am grateful for the tour of Norway, or parts there of. I have two best friends from jr. high that are Norwegian, we are still friends to this day. This gives me more insight into the world they came from.

    Simply, I enjoy photography period!

    Cheers

Her har det vært overskyet og opp mot 10 stive i helgen så det har ikke blitt den store fotohelgen.

  5. Beautiful clear weather photos. I cant decide if their taken on the same day the cresent moon looks slightly fuller above the Kings head than above the hotel.

    Ha en fin dag.
