For this week My World Tuesday I will show you a few pictures from my home town Trondheim. Trondheim is a small city with only 150 000 citizens. We have a lot of old wooden houses, and some of the old streets are narrow.
Pictures of a more modern city are yet to come.
Oh Wow! That makes you feel as if you're standing in the streets of Trondheim! Wonderful, Ivar!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
Your part of the world must be in the top5 of cleanest cities! I remember my dad has wonderful stories of Norway when I was a young kid, he admires how clean it is there and how when he left his wallet, he was still able to retrieve it from the place he left it. =)
ReplyDeletetrondheim is a small city with only 150,000 residents? trondheim is sufficiently large if one compares it to my own city of about a third of yours!
ReplyDeleteand again, i love those beautiful coloured houses - is it the rain that keeps them looking so clean?!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors! I haven't been to Norway, but they remind me of villages I saw in The Netherlands. Beautiful place, beautiful photos! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love older Scandanavian houses. This is no exception. 150,000 is small?
ReplyDeleteMeget flott serie og reklame for byen. Her har fått bra dybde i bildene. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have plenty of wooden houses, but yours are absolutely gorgeous with those wonderful colours!
ReplyDeleteI really have to see them, they are so near!!

ReplyDeleteThose are all great shots. I love the one where you see the buildings on the water.
ReplyDeleteThank you fore visiting my exhibition on saterday. I realy appreciate that a lot!
ReplyDeleteVery rich colours in these pictures from Trondheim, realy nice. You should go back to Bakklandet in advent and try in the evening with the christmas decoration here.
What strikes me first about your photos are the vibrant colors, Ivar! Also, it makes me wish I had designed my blog for even larger photos! Marvelous!
ReplyDeleteI loved your previous post about the colder temperatures. I can not imagine weather so cold. The frozen fern/leaves were just exquisite!
:)
That photo on the canal(?) is awesome! Even under a drab gray sky it screams of color and life.
ReplyDeleteI very much like the old wooden buildings, Ivar. Very quaint and picturesque!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Ivar, I'm really looking forward to my cruise holliday to Norway next year.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that Trondheim had such wonderful charming buildings! We recently went to Hurumhalvön. We have talked about making a longer tour round Norway since it's so beautiful, but we'll see when that can happen. We live in Stockholm, so it's not that far away :-)
ReplyDeleteI love this part of Trondheim, especially the old wooden houses. The photos are stunning as ever. Thanks for sharing! Thanks for your comment on my blog.

ReplyDeleteI love those colorful houses. And the place is so neat. I love this part of the world and I hope someday I wouold be able to see this with my own eyes and lens.
ReplyDeleteJa, kanskje vi møtes engang på fototur? Hvem vet :-)
ReplyDeleteHa en fin kveld.
Flotte dråpebilder du har tatt forresten :))
What a lovely town! I can imagine walking down those streets with a smile. The photos are great and remind me of a couple of puzzles I have done. :-)
ReplyDeleteFlotte bilder, Ivar!
ReplyDeleteja fine bilder ivar
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous! I love the colors and textures... the perspective is outstanding!

I'm always running so far behind. Trondheim is a very colorful city. I love the brick streets and the wooden buildings.
ReplyDeleteIvar, these are such beautiful old buildings, I love the various colours and the large windows. I wished I could see the insides too, I imagine them bright and friendly (for some reason I am more aware of Swedish interiors, and know very little about Norwegian ones).
