More macro shot

Often I shoot pictures of landscape, but sometimes I force myself to look down as well.

Do you find this solid rock interesting? Well, neither do I, but take a look at these macro pictures I captured yesterday:

( This is called Thallus, from Latinized Greek θαλλος (thallos), meaning a green shoot or twig, is an undifferentiated vegetative tissue of some non-mobile organisms, which were previously known as the thallophytes.)

  1. Hi!

The yellow nameless one was cool. Looks like a satelit photo of a dried out lake from mars or something.

  2. Virkelig bra - noe av det så nesten ut som det kom rett fra konditoriet, men er kanskje ikke anbefalelsesverdig som menneskeføde?

  16. Personally I don't find the rock at all boring but you certainly get a lot more out of it with the macro.
I'm getting my first macro next week and am looking forward to experimenting.

  23. Excellent macros, Ivar. That first one that you couldn't find a name for must be some kind of lichen (but I don't know which one). All the others are of things I've never seen before, anywhere!

  29. I can't thank you enough for visiting my blog so I knew about yours. What a fabulous site! I absolutely love your photography and think many of your shots are just the finest quality there is. Please put your name on your photos, though. It's the easiest way in the world to prevent unauthorized use. I didn't comment above because I thought you might not read this with all the other comments, but I LOVE the photos, especially the one of the ferry boat top against the sky. Very exciting. Thanks again for a great, great photo blog.
