These last days have been a foretaste of winter. Temperature around -5C. Not really cold thinking about temperature falling down to -51,4C. That's the record in Norway, back in 1884 in Karasjok, a small place far north in Norway, around 69 degrees North. When it is as cold as -50C, you can boil water in a kettle, and if you throw this hot water in the air it will instantly freeze and fall down as snow/ice to the ground. Cool isn't it ?
In my area I have experienced temperature around -35C.
Den som hadde hatt et speilreflekskamera... Nydelige bilder, begge to, men falt fullstendig for det siste:)
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is absolutely amazing. Makes me cold just looking at it.
ReplyDeleteAn Arkie's Musings
Nydelige bilder til tross for at denne årstiden ikke akkurat appellerer til oss sommerlige sjeler.
ReplyDeleteMarit
Well. That is colder than I like and the coldest place on earth for me was Hokkaido, Japan.
ReplyDeleteIt was so cold there that a soldier could not pee out of doors as the stream would freeze solid and the soldier would have to kick it or break it in order to keep on peeing.
I am guessing it is colder than that there where you live.

ReplyDeleteDet øverste er jo sykt bra!!
If the weather does that to the water, then what it does to your butt when you sit down on that bench?:) Those leafs were so cool in many ways.
ReplyDeleteIvar : Is it leaves or just ice flaks in the first image, either way its fantastic, love the texture on them.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd image is a stunner, very well composed.
