  2. Beautiful bridges - you have really caught the essence of rural "development" in Norway. As Hyde DP says:Nice contrasts.

PS Thank you for the comment - finally back from an autumn holiday.

  3. There are a lot of old barns in my area, but I've never seen a barn bridge. Interesting photos

  4. Ivar: I think I'll stay off that second bridge, it looks unstable. LOL

  5. A lovely pair of photos! I love old wood, so even the collapsing bridge looks good to me! I've never seen that sort of construction before.

    Kjempe bidrag!!

  7. I have never seen this type of bridge employed on any barns here in the Midwest where I live. It makes sense to have them as it eliminates the very large metal hooks to hoist up hay off the hay wagons.

    Nice shots to Ivar.

All den fine grå materialen.

In a norwegian song we sing: House needs people og people needs houses.

  18. I have seen barns with a door at the loft level but never a bridge from them before now. Great post! Love the two contrasts in the photos.

    Drop by and see mine.

I also left a comment on your frozen flowers below.

  19. Ivar, If ever I'll have a house, I would love to place a bridge in it! Whether it's like that on the front of a door like a castle or even in my garden! It gives me the feeling of enormousness of space and it is very nice to look at! Love your shots!

    Steven^^
